Two different paths, united by the pain of those left behind without answers. Case 1 – Miriam Aparecida Expelled from home by an abusive husband, Miriam and her children face an uncertain fate. Their disappearance reveals the invisible scars of domestic violence. Case 2 – José Hildo A deaf young man decides to leave home alone to explore the outside world. What seemed like a simple adventure turned into a painful mystery for her family. "Missing" is a documentary series that portrays true stories of people who disappeared without a trace. In each episode, we follow the plight of family and friends, the work of investigators and police officers, and the use of visuals and dramatizations that make the narrative even more impactful. Some cases have surprising or tragic endings. Others remain unsolved, but all show the tireless struggle of families who never give up hope. Produced in partnership with the Public Security Secretariat and the DHPP's Missing Persons Department, the series also features innovative investigative tools, such as digital age progression, used to recreate the updated appearance of missing people. The program reveals not only the human side of the stories, but also the institutional and technological efforts in the search for answers. At the end of each episode, portraits of people still missing are shown alongside official contacts, reinforcing the production's social commitment.
